The Fit:

Model is 5'9" and wearing a size small. 

The Outlet reason:

The jacket has a slight issue with the front zipper.  The Zipper works - but it can intermittently get stuck on the facing.  It is  little frustrating - but that is all that is wrong with it.  It just isn't living up to our highest standards, so we priced it to move.   Remember Outlet Sales are final - if you need a new size we will help, but we don't accept full refunds or returns on outlet items.

I really wish it had snaps. The zipper sticks in a few spots. I will put soap on it try to make like new. I had strings that weren't trimmed that I trimmed. I rarely buy new clothes, I guess so others can work out any issues. I love the feel of the jacket though.

No longer made in the US

I have been a longtime customer and was all set to buy your new relaxed fleece jacket until I saw where it was made. China. No way. Very disappointing. Traditionally all of your clothing has been made in the US. Not good to dilute your brand.

We understand your frustration about moving some of our production to China. To clarify, we have been making some production in China for the last 20 years. The bulk of our work has been in the USA. However, there is no labor force training currently in the USA. The US abandoned apparel manufacturing 25+ years ago. Our local manufacturing options have dwindled from over twenty to three!

We have spent years working with local agencies, State officials and even Universities and high schools trying to create a training program to get the labor force back. It is seeming next to impossible to get the next generation of stitchers.

We want you to know we have tried.

We also want you to know that if we attempted to make the stretch micro fleece jacket in the USA that jacket would cost over $200. We have data that shows us that our customers would not absorb that cost to keep the label noting 'Made in USA'.

It is a very sad reality. Our decisions to move off shore are not made callously. They are made for our survival so we can continue to employ the current staff that work hard at Dakini.

Soft and substantial at the same time!

This beautiful jacket sings "luxury." The Heather Bright Sky is full of sparkle and the stretchiness is special. I love the detail -- a sporty zipper pull, flattering top-stitching, and even a zipper placket for a quality feel.

I'm using this on chilly mornings so far, and I know it will become my go-to for walks with friends.

best lightweight jacket

The fabric of this jacket is truly insane. Soft and stretchy, and cuddly warm. By far the best fleece I've ever worn! Zipper pockets are key for making this jacket super versatile and the best thing to wear whether I'm at home or on the trail or court! keep doing it, Dakini!
